This month’s employee spotlight is Souwan Kiengkham, a business partner in the City of Salisbury Human Resources Department. In his role, Souwan manages multiple human resources projects, serves as a human resources liaison to several City departments, and assists with the recruitment, onboarding and training of city employees. Former offender resource and job fairs complement event
Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) once again hosts the “A Mile in Their Shoes” offender re-entry simulation, Wednesday, May 24, 9 a.m. at the West End Plaza, 1935 Jake Alexander Blvd. Human service employees, service providers, second-chance employers, and media are invited to attend the simulation to gain an understanding of the obstacles faced by those individuals transitioning back into their communities from incarceration.
The Salisbury Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run in the 500 block of Faith Road that occurred sometime between Saturday, April 29, 9 p.m., and today, Sunday, April 30, 5 a.m. The victim is identified as Victor Gobin, 59.
