If you live inside the City limits and are interested in the planting and preserving of trees, please consider joining the Salisbury Tree Board. The Tree Board meets the third Wednesday of each month at 1 p.m. at 303 West Franklin Street.
Salisbury proudly showcases its artistic flair with the annual Sculpture Show. This year includes 24 new sculptures crafted by talented artists hailing from across the eastern United States. The Public Arts Commission features sculptures throughout the downtown area, Salisbury’s three local colleges, Horizons Unlimited, and Trinity Oaks.
Employee Spotlight: Macy Emory
This month’s employee spotlight is Macy Emory, a Senior Administrative Specialist. In her role, Macy provides administrative support to the City Manager and Administration Department. She serves as a liaison between departments and the public, organizes and maintains files and records, and prepares correspondence and reports as needed.
Hurley Park will host a self-guided tree tour, Roots of Resilience-A Self-Guided Tree Tour, during Rowan Creek Week, Saturday, Sept. 14th through Saturday, Sept. 21st.

Employee Spotlight: Steven Williams
This month’s employee spotlight is Battalion Chief Steven Williams. He is assigned to C shift and has been employed with the Salisbury Fire Department for more than 15 years. In his role, Steven ensures the smooth operation of all Salisbury fire stations. He commands the shift, manages staffing, and oversees training. His leadership is critical during major events such as fires and rescues.
