City of Salisbury receives Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for FY17-18 Financial Services / Wednesday, June 20, 2018 0 74188 The City of Salisbury’s budget and performance management department has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for the City’s FY2017-2018 budget. The GFOA’s Distinguished Presentation Awards program is the only national awards program in governmental budgeting. Salisbury was one jurisdiction out of only 1,177 throughout the U.S. and Canada to receive the award. Read more

Salisbury Bank Robbery Suspect Identified Anonym / Friday, June 1, 2018 0 82968 The suspect in the bank robbery at First National Bank yesterday, and who subsequently was shot by a Salisbury Police Officer, has been identified as: Jerick Raheem Gray (4/19/76), a resident of High Point, N.C. Gray died yesterday evening at the hospital of injuries resulting from being shot by the officer. Gray was identified as the driver of the vehicle that officers pursued after the bank robbery. Innes Street in Salisbury and robbed the location of an undisclosed amount of money.
