CASE UPDATE: Salisbury Police Department Identifies Victim in Rowan Mill Rd Shooting Incident

The victim who was pronounced deceased at the scene has been identified as Charles William, an 80-year-old resident of Salisbury. The child, who was also injured in this incident remains in the ICU in critical condition at a local hospital.

As a reminder, this was not a random incident, and no direct threat to the broader community has been identified. The investigation is ongoing, and no suspects have been arrested.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 57-year-old female with life-threatening injuries consistent with an assault. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
