Salisbury Police are currently investigating a shooting that took place yesterday evening at Brookview Apts on South Martin Luther King Jr Blvd in Salisbury. Police were notified of a potential shooting at the complex and that the victim was enroute to Novant Health Rowan in a private vehicle.
The Salisbury Police Department will light up the streets of Salisbury for its second 5K Foot Pursuit to benefit the Special Olympics, Friday, May 10, 7 p.m. beginning in the 200 block of Lee St. This 3.1-mile evening run, through beautiful Downtown Salisbury, is for a great cause that will benefit the Special Olympics of North Carolina.

The City of Salisbury communications department has been recognized for its video, print and social media projects as part of the North Carolina City & County Communicators (NC3C) Excellence in Communications Awards held Thursday, April 11, at NC3C’s 12th annual Spring Conference in Durham.

The City of Salisbury will join cities around the world in a friendly competition to see which area has the most nature-engaged residents. The 2019 City Nature Challenge will start on Friday, April 26, at 12:01 a.m. and end on Monday, April 29, at 11:59 p.m.
