Fall is coming! Vacuum machines collect loose leaves from mid-October until the end of March only. Residents are asked to have all loose leaves raked to the curb by Monday morning of your collection week to be ensured they are collected by Friday. During this time, you may call (704) 638-5260 about scheduled collection in your neighborhood, or look for a schedule in your monthly billing notice. Read more to view the Loose Leaf Collection Map.

Salisbury Fleet Receives Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification

The Salisbury Public Services Department announces that 10 of its fleet division employees are now certified Emergency Vehicle Technicians (EVT). The certification represents the fleet staff has successfully passed the training to maintain, diagnose and repair emergency vehicles used by the Salisbury Fire Department.

Let’s Celebrate Brewbury Fest!

Downtown Salisbury, Inc. (DSI) will host Brewbury Fest on Friday and Saturday, September 20-21. The downtown Salisbury Brewbury Fest is a two-day event to celebrate the art of craft beer and showcase the city’s buzzing downtown. This ticketed event will allow attendees 21 years of age or older to experience the diverse flavors offered by esteemed craft breweries from all over North Carolina.

Greenway, Bicycle & Pedestrian committee meeting

The Greenway, Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee’s mission is to create a safe, connected, and accessible network of bike lanes, sidewalks, and greenways to encourage walking and cycling for transportation, recreation, and health benefits. To advocate for infrastructure improvements, policies, programs, and grants that prioritize alternative modes of transportation for the Salisbury Community. To promote collaboration and partnerships among city and county officials, and staff; tourism; advocacy groups; and the community to insure buy-in and support from the broader constituents. With a goal to integrate new pedestrian and bicycle plans and policy recommendations with existing efforts at local, county, and regional levels.
