Information regarding November 8th shooting
On November 8, 2022, at approximately 2:05 p.m., the Salisbury Police Department (SPD) responded to Zion Hills apartment located at 1614 Standish Street regarding a shooting.
Salisbury Transit will offer free bus rides on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Delando Clowney Jr., a recreation coordinator for the parks and recreation department, is this month’s employee spotlight. He is responsible for planning and operating activities at Miller Recreation Teen Center. In his role, Delando supervises and supports teen center staff, communicates and works with teens, individuals and community groups to create programs of interest for teens, and manages the facility’s budget.
Salisbury Police Chief Jerome “Jerry” Stokes announced his intention to retire from the city of Salisbury effective, Saturday, Dec. 31. He was hired to lead the Salisbury Police Department (SPD) in July 2016 after a 32-year career with the Lynchburg, Va. Police Department.
