The upcoming Hurley Park Butterfly Release on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m., is a great event at which to learn about Monarch butterflies and other butterfly species, their migration, and milkweed (their host plant). Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to find a good seat as the release happens quickly. Food trucks will be available for food purchase.

First Brewbury Fest Comes to Downtown Salisbury

Downtown Salisbury, Inc. (DSI) will host its first Brewbury Fest on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 14-15, 2018.

The Downtown Salisbury Brewbury Fest is a two-day event to celebrate the art of craft beer and showcase our buzzing downtown. This ticketed event will allow attendees 21 years of age or older to experience the diverse flavors offered by esteemed craft breweries from all over NC.

The celebration begins with a Beer Crawl on Friday from 5-9 p.m. Ticket holders will be given a Brewbury Fest sampling glass from which to sip tasty brews while chatting with brewery staff located in participating downtown businesses.

The festivities continue with an additional ticketed event on Saturday from 3- 8 p.m. at the Historic Salisbury Depot. Attendees can gather at a vibrant downtown landmark, dine from a variety of food trucks, and purchase frosty beverages from an array of NC breweries. Cash and Credit Cards will be accepted. Free games and live music from Travers Brothership , Funk You, and the Breakfast Club will entertain throughout the evening!

Ticket holders must be 21 years or older with a valid ID. Tickets can be purchased online at www.DowntownSalisburyNC.com or call (704) 637-7814 for more information.
