SRU was one of only 72 in the state of North Carolina to achieve this recognition in 2022.

Salisbury’s land and development services department transitions to a Wednesday walk-in only service and a by-appointment format for the remaining weekdays to create a more efficient and consistent permitting process for residents, business owners and developers. The Salisbury Community Appearance Commission (CAC) has sponsored the Downtown Holiday Decoration competition for almost 2 decades (this is the 19th year), but this year was a little different. Previously, commission members toured downtown businesses and chose the winners. This year, the public was given the task, and the votes poured in!
