It’s not too late to sign up to receive Nixle alerts from the City of Salisbury! The alerts are a community-wide notification system to inform residents about emergency situations and community advisories right at their fingertips. 

National Fire Prevention Week was October 7-13 with the theme “Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware – fire can happen anywhere.” The Salisbury Fire Department felt that the theme was great but they wanted a message targeted specifically to Salisbury residents. Salisbury Fire Department and Life Safety Educator Kimberly Boling contacted Battalion Chief Forrest to survey all SFD members on a key message.

With autumn in full swing, the leaves are falling across the city. This is a friendly reminder from the City of Salisbury's public services department regarding leaf collection services, and that leaf burning is prohibited in city limits. Read more for details.
