Following the Rowan District Attorney Brandy Cook’s decision regarding the officer involved shooting on November 9, 2017 to not seek any charges against the officers involved, Chief Jerry Stokes has released the following statement. 

As of August 2018, Fitch Ratings has affirmed the 'A+' rating on the following city of Salisbury, North Carolina (the city) bonds: $9.9 million combined enterprise system refunding revenue bonds, series 2010. In addition, the Rating Outlook is revised to Positive from Stable.

The Salisbury Community Action Teams, created from a series of community meetings designed to tackle some of the city’s biggest challenges, will host a Community Resource Fair for parents and children, Saturday, Aug. 25, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hurley YMCA.  

Salisbury Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit have obtained 2 Murder warrants on Willie Earl Williams Jr., age 32, for the homicides of Sabrina Annette Curzi and Darryl Allen Wright which occurred on August 3rd, 2018 in Salisbury.
