This month’s employee spotlight is Jake Sterling, Internal Services Manager for the City of Salisbury Public Works Department. For more than 25 years, Jake has worked for the City in various roles ranging from a mechanic, second shift supervisor, fleet supervisor and fleet manager.
The Covenant Community Connection (CCC), a subcommittee of the Salisbury Human Relations Council, hosts a “Supporting Public Education” workshop, Saturday, March 26, First Presbyterian Church, 308 W. Fisher St., from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
On March 3, 2022, at approximately 8:57 PM, the Salisbury Police Department responded to 1030 Freeland Drive in reference to a person being shot.
The Salisbury Police Department is investigating a homicide in the 1000 block of Freeland Drive, near S. Arlington St.
On February 28, 2022, at approximately 6:00 PM, a male subject, later identified as Bruce Richard Godwin (32 yrs old), approached a Salisbury Police Officer in the Police Department garage. The male subject advised that he had recently been hired by the Police Department and was there to obtain some of his equipment.
