The City of Salisbury will operate on the following schedule for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays:
On December 7th, 2021, Detectives with the Salisbury Police Department Investigation Unit obtained a warrant for Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury with Intent to Kill on a James Edward Jr. (29 yrs old) due to the shooting that occurred on December 7th, 2021 in the 1300 Block of West Horah Street.
The Salisbury Community Appearance Commission (CAC) is pleased to announce the winners of the 17th annual Holiday Storefront Decorations Awards, an event that celebrates downtown merchants whose window displays best capture the holiday season. This year’s committee consisted of Chair Reg Boland, Vice-Chair Chris McNeely, Jessica Cloward, Hugo Correa, Jeffrey Martinez, Mike Mills, and Kelly Vanager.
As cooks gear up for the holiday season, Salisbury-Rowan Utilities has a few tips for discarding leftover Fats, Oils, Grease, also known as FOG. When fat, oil, grease and wax is poured or flushed down the drain it may not travel very far through your pipes. FOG will accumulate and stick to the pipe walls causing future sewer backups in your home, condominium, restaurant, or other buildings.
The Salisbury Sculpture Show hosted by the Salisbury Public Art Committee is returning for its 14th year. Artists and local neighborhoods are encouraged to apply for this year’s show.
