The Salisbury Police Department would like to make you aware that you may encounter changes to the way we normally operate and interact with the public. The goals of these changes is to maintain the well-being of our residents as well as the health of our officers and staff so we can continue to provide efficient and effective law enforcement services. As COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to spread and affect our day-to-day lives, police officers are still on duty and employees are still working.

As the number of cases of the coronavirus, or COVID-19, continues to grow, I want to reassure our residents that the City of Salisbury is taking this situation seriously. The health and safety of you, your family, and our employees remains a priority. Following the guidance of recent coronavirus advisories provided by federal, state, Rowan County Public Health and other agencies, I’m here to provide the following updates:

The Salisbury Fire Department will host a “Weathering the Storm – Emergency & Safety Preparedness Fair,” designed to provide residents with information on how to prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies, Saturday, March 21, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Salisbury Civic Center.
