Rowan County Public Health will continue their COVID vaccine drive-thru clinic tomorrow for any individual that falls into Group 1 or Group 2:
- Group 1: Health care workers fighting COVID-19 and long-term care staff and residents
- Group 2: Older adults (anyone 65 years or older)
West End Plaza (former Salisbury Mall)
1935 Jake Alexander Boulevard W
Salisbury, NC 28147
We are not making appointments at this time. The drive-thru clinic will be held from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm OR as long as vaccine supply allows. For your safety, you will not be allowed to enter the parking lot before 6 am. Anyone arriving prior to 6 am will be asked to leave by law enforcement.
Please plan to enter West End Plaza from the intersection of Statesville Boulevard and Admiral Drive (directly in front of Food Lion). You must enter the parking lot coming eastbound (heading back towards Salisbury) so that you can make a right turn into the West End Plaza parking lot. If you are coming westbound from West Innes Street or Jake Alexander Boulevard (going towards Statesville), you will be required to make a U-turn past West End Plaza on Statesville Boulevard. City/county personnel will be at the entrance of the West End Plaza to guide traffic, and you may also view a traffic map on our drive-thru clinics webpage.
We thank you in advance for your patience and ask that you please be prepared to wait. We have a limited supply of vaccine from the state, and we are using a ticketing system to ensure everyone waiting in line will receive a vaccine while those beyond the cutoff will be asked to come back another day to receive a vaccine. We appreciate your understanding as we try to make this process as efficient as possible.
For this clinic, citizens will be asked to verify age, answer a few questions either on paper or on a tablet, and provide insurance cards (if available). You may download and complete the required Vaccination Registration Form (PDF) in advance and bring it with you, or paper copies will be available onsite.
Please note that the vaccine is FREE to everyone; however, we are filing insurance for administrative costs. There is no cost to you, regardless of insurance.
Rowan County Public Health’s number one priority is to ensure that all Rowan County citizens that want a vaccine can receive it, while also balancing vaccine supply and abiding by the phased approach provided to us by NCDHHS.
