During loose-leaf collection season (mid-October to mid-March), residents are asked to have all loose leaves raked to the curb by Monday morning of your collection week to be ensured they are collected by Friday. Pile leaves no more than five feet deep from the curb, up to any height, and at least three feet away from anything else. The Third Annual Rowan Creek Week is happening Saturday, August 21 through Saturday, August 28. Creek Week is a week-long celebration of local waters throughout North Carolina. In conjunction with multiple environmental organizations and local municipal departments, Creek Week offers recreational, educational, and volunteer opportunities to allow everyone to enjoy and contribute to healthy waters in our area.

Beginning Tuesday, July 6, the City of Salisbury will resume normal operations by re-opening its public buildings such as City Hall, City Office Building, the Salisbury Police Department front lobby, the Customer Service Center, and all Parks and Recreation facilities, per staffing availability.
