At approximately 12:20 p.m. today, deputies with the Greenville Police Department VCAT Unitand agents of the State Bureau of Investigation Fugitive Task Force arrested 33-year-old Willie Earl Williams Jr at 3941 S. Charles Blvd. in Greenville, NC.
The North Carolina Local Government Commission (LGC) has approved the City’s financing plan for the Empire Hotel. The plan incorporates a Master Lease as a means for the developer to secure project financing. The LGC provides financial oversight to North Carolina local governments.
Fibrant services have transitioned to Hotwire Communications and thus ended the City’s operation and management of the fiber optic network. While the transition is bittersweet on the Fibrant side, Hotwire’s debut in the community brings excitement and opportunity for all. The Fibrant website will now redirect you to Hotwire, including the Notification of Fibrant Issue Report, while Fibrant’s social media platforms have now been suspended.
National Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15 through October 15. In honor of this annual recognition, the Hispanic Coalition of Salisbury will once again host its annual La Fiesta de Rowan celebration in downtown Salisbury. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 12 to 5 p.m. in the 200 block of W. Fisher St.

Hurley YMCA located at828 W Jake Alexander Blvd Salisbury for residents of Rowan County who are in imminent threat of danger or have been directed by Public Officials. This Shelter will open at 9:30 PM on this date September 16th 2018.

Salisbury Transit will be suspended tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 15, due to Hurricane Florence.
On September 13, 2018 Cody Maxwell Schimmels (W/M 03/11/1988) of Salisbury was released from Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and was placed under arrest by the Salisbury Police Department for the incident that happened at the Salisbury Harris Teeter store on 7/12/2018.
